Little Anglers.
Two hours in calm, protected water with small rods and nonstop pinfish: the trip built so a 6-year-old catches fish in the first ten minutes.
What the two hours look like.
Lines off at 1 PM into the calmest water we fish — grass flats and dock pilings ten minutes from slip 14. The mate baits every hook, untangles every tangle, and keeps a running fish count on the cooler lid that kids take very seriously.
Pinfish, pigfish, the occasional ladyfish that jumps like a tiny tarpon. Everything catch-and-release unless a family wants dinner, in which case the mate cleans it while the kids watch the pelicans. Back at the dock by 3, naps all round.
What's included
- Licensed captain and patient mate
- Small rods sized for small hands
- Life jackets down to infant sizes
- Live shrimp bait, all licenses
- Fish-count tally and dock photo
Birthdays welcome.
Half our Little Anglers trips are birthdays. Bring cake for after — the dock has picnic tables and the mate will sing while holding a pinfish. Tell us the headcount when you book and the boat is set up before you arrive.
Ages 4 and up do best. At least one adult per three kids under 8, and every adult fishes free — the trip is priced per boat, not per head.
“Booked the kids trip for my son's ninth birthday. Six kids, forty pinfish and one very proud ladyfish photo.”
More water to try.
Two hours. Forty fish. $350.
Monday and Tuesday afternoons are open this week — the calmest water of the day for small crews.
